The Power of Pausing: How Taking a Step Back Can Lead to Authentic Alignment

For years, I was deep in the world of real estate, building and leading a top-performing team and pushing myself toward every achievement I thought would bring me closer to fulfillment. On the outside, it looked like I had it all together. I had a career I was proud of and accomplishments that seemed to stack up higher each year. But behind it all, I was tired, burned out, and pushing myself harder without knowing why.
Then life handed me something unexpected—a pause. Through my yoga community, I was introduced to Human Design, and it changed everything. For the first time, I took a deep breath and allowed myself to step back. I wasn’t rushing toward the next big thing, and instead, I began to reflect on the path I was on. Human Design gave me the tools to look at my life from a new perspective, one that wasn’t about “achieving” my way to worthiness. It was about reconnecting with who I truly was beneath the layers of expectation and the drive to constantly do more.
